Suddenly Unable to Check In Your uPerform Template?

Are you having trouble checking in uPerform Templates into the uPerform Server even though the connection test between the uPerform Client and Server is working fine? Did your attempted check in result in the error: “You do not have template management permissions to check in this template,” even though you previously had these permissions?

The good news is that you have an account on the Server, but you may have a uPerform Client update version that does not match the server version. You can check your version in the uPerform Client by clicking on the small arrow next to the question mark and selecting “About.” The following screen will display:


Provide the full Version number as shown in the example above to your uPerform Administrator to confirm if the versions are the same. If either of the versions does not match, you will need to upgrade whichever component is necessary to establish the proper dialogue between client and server software. As a matter of information, prior to uPerform version 5.20 we were releasing patches instead of updates, meaning that the Client and Server versions always had to match, but now with updates in 5.20 and later, this is not always the case. To be on the safe side, please refer to the chart in the “Do my client and server versions need to match?” article for more specific compatibility information regarding uPerform versions 5.20.x and higher.
