If you attended APUG last year you may recognize the name– Myra Lavenue, or her ever-smiling face. Myra, a training manager from Columbia Sportswear, delivered an entertaining and informative presentation at the 2015 APUG about how ANCILE uPerform and uAlign enabled Columbia employees to readily adopt a new timekeeping system.
Myra’s story captured the attention of the SAP/ASUG award team, who chose Columbia as the 2016 winner of the prestigious SAP Best Practices in Education award. Myra joins the ranks of other ANCILE customers who are also past winners, including Pfizer, Gulfstream, Maple Leaf Foods and Uni-Select.
Myra’s challenge was as tall as the Cascade Mountain range in her home state of Oregon. She had to train store managers who are geographically dispersed in 100 stores across the U.S. These employees were already on information overload, and their stores were often located in outlet malls where Internet bandwidth is limited. Additionally, store associates had varying shifts and couldn’t attend on-site training.
The answer? A combination of uAlign and uPerform, along with some solid change management techniques, allowed Myra to train 97 percent of the employees prior to go-live.

Congratulations, Myra, and keep smiling!
