ANCILE uPerform 5.20 is expanding the way administrators manage end users and authentication! Beginning in uPerform 5.20 we will be supporting web browser Single Sign On using Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML). The ability to authenticate users in uPerform with SAML will join the our existing capability to authenticate using NTLM and forms based authentication.
SAML is an XML-based open standard data format for exchanging authentication and authorization between parties, in particular, between an identity provider (IdP) such as Active Directory and a service provider (SP) such as uPerform. SAML allows business entities to make assertions regarding the identity, attributes, and entitlements of a user to other entities, such as a partner company or another enterprise application.
The release of ANCILE uPerform 5.20 is a few days out from general availability, however if you would like more information about it and other changes that are coming, please check out our latest uPerform video and stay tuned for updates on the release.
